Taapsee Pannu Credits Preity Zinta for Her Entry into Bollywood

Taapsee Pannu revealed during a guest appearance on cricketer Shikhar Dhawan's new talk show that her entry into Bollywood was influenced by her resemblance to Preity Zinta. She shared how this likeness led to opportunities in Hindi cinema while she was still pursuing engineering, initially gaining traction in Telugu and Tamil films.

"I was often compared to Preity Zinta, which played a role in me getting noticed in Bollywood," Taapsee mentioned on the show 'Dhawan Karenge'. "I admired her vibrant personality and tried to match up to her reputation in my own way."

Taapsee made her debut with the Telugu film 'Jhummandi Naadam' in 2010, followed by her entry into Hindi cinema with 'Chashme Baddoor'. She gained significant acclaim later for her role in 'Baby' alongside Akshay Kumar, and went on to star in prominent films like 'Pink', 'Manmarziyan', 'Thappad', and others.

Her most recent appearance was in the 2023 film 'Dunki', where she starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Vicky Kaushal, directed by Rajkumar Hirani. Taapsee will next be seen in 'Khel Khel Mein', directed by Mudassar Aziz, featuring Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, and other talented actors.

In her personal life, Taapsee recently married her longtime boyfriend, Mathias Boe, in a private ceremony held in Udaipur earlier this year.
